Frequently asked questions.

What hours can I drive or shop? ▾
You set your own hours. Most orders hit the platform between 10am–9pm, with peak windows around lunch (11am–1pm) and dinner (5pm–8pm). There's no minimum hours requirement — work when it works for you.
Can I do both shopping and delivering? ▾
Yes. Many Instafresh team members shop in-store AND deliver. You'll see a mix of both in the app and can choose whichever fits your shift. We'll train you on both during onboarding.
What kind of vehicle do I need? ▾
Any car, SUV, or van works. The vehicle needs to be in good working condition with valid registration. No vehicle wrap, decals, or commercial license required.
How and when do I get paid? ▾
Weekly, via direct deposit to your bank account. Earnings from each week (Monday–Sunday) are transferred the following Wednesday. Tips are included in your weekly payout.
Do I need to file taxes differently? ▾
Yes. Instafresh drivers and shoppers are independent contractors (1099). We'll send you a 1099-NEC if you earn $600+ in a calendar year. You're responsible for tracking your own expenses — mileage, phone, etc. — which may be deductible. Consult a tax professional for personalized advice.
Am I covered by insurance during deliveries? ▾
Instafresh maintains commercial general liability coverage for team members while actively delivering on platform. Your personal auto insurance covers you between deliveries. We recommend notifying your insurer that you do occasional delivery work.

Currently 21+ ZIP codes across Greater Houston — from the Inner Loop to Sugar Land, Missouri City, Katy, Stafford, Richmond, Pearland, Webster, and The Woodlands. When you apply, pick the zones you'd like to cover so we can route orders your way.
